MONOTHON SANTA FE 2023
A MARATHON OF PRINTMAKING
The City of Santa Fe Arts and Culture Department’s Community Gallery invites you to participate in MONOTHON SANTA FE 2023.
Monothon Santa Fe is a community-based, fundraising event organized to benefit the local youth arts non-profit, Partners in Education, through the sale of one-of-a-kind monotype artworks by local artists and the generosity of the Santa Fe community. Get involved with this great cause by either participating as an artist or a sponsor.
Monothon Santa Fe’s Print Week runs from April 1st through 8th and will be hosted by a collection of Santa Fe’s finest print studios. The event concludes with the Monothon Exhibition, April 22nd through May 26th, where a selected piece from each participating artist is shown and sold.
MONOTHON PRINT WEEK
APRIL 1ST – APRIL 8TH
During Monothon Santa Fe’s Print Week, artists create monotype prints during five-hour, fully assisted printmaking sessions. At the completion of each session one work will be selected from each participating artist to be exhibited and sold to benefit the Santa Fe Community Gallery and the local youth arts non-profit, Partners in Education.
Artists find sponsors and sponsors find artists. Prior to the start of the event, participants make connections through the community to either find artist sponsorship or an artist in need of sponsoring. Once these connections have been made, the pairings may choose a participating studio and sign-up for a printing session.
HELP FUND THE EVENT
Participating sponsors provide financial support that directly benefits local artists and print shops, the City of Santa Fe’s Community Gallery, and the local youth arts non-profit Partners in Education. Sponsorships underwrite the costs for printing sessions, artist scholarships, and the event’s overall planning, promotion, and marketing. Contribution is incentivized with donor perks.
